BREAKING! Sen. Gordon Sang-Ayon Sa Desisyon ng Pangulo "Pres.Duterte Has The Right To Arrest ICC Probers To Defend PH From Possible Foreign Threats!"

Administration Senator Richard Gordon - a staunch ally of President Rodrigo Duterte said that the President has the right to protect the country from any possible threats from foreign entities that attempt to destabilize it including International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutors prosecutors.

Gordon said he himself would not sign the treaty and make the country a member of the ICC.

"Alam mo ako, hindi ako pipirma diyan sa ICC na yan e dahil diminution talaga ng sovereignty natin yan e. Akalain mo, ibang bansa papasok dito, mag-iimbestiga," Gordon said
Senator Gordon made his statement after President Rodrigo Duterte warned ICC's investigators arrested should they visit the Philippines to conduct investigation on the alleged state-sponsored killings in the government's war on drugs campaign.

"As far as the President is concerned, he has the right to protect the country. Kapag ang mga ito ay gagawa lang ng hindi mabuti, dine-destabilize ang bayan natin, he has the right;" the senator added

President Duterte has reiterated that the International war crimes tribunal had no jurisdiction and authority over the case filed against him by lawyer Jude Sabio.

He also said that the Rome Stature, a treaty which established the ICC, is not enforceable in the Philippines as it was not published in the government's Official Gazette or in any commercial newspaper.

"Kaya ikaw Ms. Fatou, wag kang pumunta dito because I will bar you, not because I am afraid of you, I said because you will never have jurisdiction over my person, not in a million years".

Fatou Bensouda is the ICC's chief prosecutor.

The Philippines has formally notified the United Nations of its withdrawal from the country's ratification of the Rome statute, the treaty that established the international Criminal Court citing reasons of baseless, unprecedented and outrageous attacks against him and his administration.

Gordon also said that it is not the government itself but the police that is responsible for the alleged state-sponsored killings.

"The police are responsible. That's why I said nung lumabas ang Korte Suprema na magpaliwanag ang pulis at ibigay ang ebidensya, I supported the Supreme Court (SC)."

"Dapat patas and labanan. Tapos may mga tao na pupunta pa doon, hihiyain tayo, ayoko nun."

Magdalo Representative Gary Alejano and opposition Ex Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV has also submitted a complaint to ICC against President Duterte on the same allegation.
