BREAKING! Defense Department ng Pilipinas pinapabilis ang Pagpapasibak sa Makabayan Bloc sa Kongreso "Salot sa Bansa!"

Suportado ng Department of National Defense ang petisyon ng National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) na sipain paalis ng kongreso ang mga kongresistang Makabayan Bloc. 

Sa kaniyang panayam sa dzBB Super Radyo, sinabi ni Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana na ang mga miyembro ng Makabayan Bloc ay nasa kongreso lamang para palakasin ang mga rebeldeng komunista.

"That's one method or way to have them removed from Congress. If you take a look at their history, they've done nothing but criticize the government, and while they're there, the (Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army) is only getting stronger. 

Because they're a legal front, they think they can do what they want to do. If a legal front is fronting for an illegal organization, like the NPA, it is illegal," sabi ni Lorenzana.

Hinamon din ni Lorenzana ang mga makakaliwang kongresista na kundinahin ang mga New People's Army (NPA.) 

"We did not invent the term red-tag' If you're really not part of them, then you have to denounce them and their terrorist activities and really distance from them," banat pa ni Lorenzana.

Kamakailan lang ay nagsalita na rin si national Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon sa binabalak nilang pagpapa-disqualify sa Makabayan Bloc sa Commission on Elections (COMELEC). 

"Yes, sinabi ko nga [before] na option 'yan… pero ginagawa na namin yan. It is not only an option now but we have firmed up our move and we will do that… you can be sure that we will go towards that direction as soon as possible, " sabi ni NTF-ELCAC Vice Chairman Hermogenes Esperon, Jr.

Magugunita na kinontra ni House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco ang mga pag-uugnay ni Lt. General Antonio Parlade sa 

Makabayan Bloc sa NPA. 

Ang ginawang hakbang ni Velasco na depensahan ang mga makakaliwang kongresista ay kabaligtaran sa mga pahayag ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte laban sa Makabayan Bloc.

Si Pangulong Duterte ang sinasabing nag-broker ng term-sharing sa house speakership sa pagitan ni Congressman Alan Peter Cayetano at ni Velasco.
