Nagbigay ng babala ni Senator Risa Hontiveros ang posibleng panganib sa kalusugan at sa kalikasan na maaring idulot kapag binuhay ang Bataan Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) matapos umanong sabihin ng Pangulo na balak itong buhayin.

Umaasa umano si Sen. Hontiveros na isasantabi ang pagkonsiderang paganahin ang Bataan Nuclear Power Plant lalo na ngayong may krisis dahil sa pandemya at marami ang nagugutom at nagkakasakit.

Ayon pa kay Hontiveros, makabubuting pagtuunan ng pansin ang mas ligtas, mas mura at mas pangmatagalang renewable energy source gaya ng geothermal, solar at wind na mas mayaman dito sa Pilipinas.
