Just In!

Former President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III on the 35th anniversary of his father's death said he will actively participate in the senatorial campaign for the opposition's candidates for next year's midterm polls.

He said that for those who agreed and are satisfied with the way President Rodrigo Duterte run the country should vote for the candidates allied with the current administration.

“Kung sang-ayon po tayo sa takbo ng bansa ngayon, iboto po ang kakampi ng administrasyon," Aquino said at the Sto Domingo Church in Quezon City.

But for those who feels otherwise and continue to criticize the policies of the Duterte administration should do more aside from merely voting for candidates of the opposition, should also join in campaigning their slate for the 2022 midterm elections.

Aquino also pointed out that the future of this country lies at the power and voices of the Filipinos.

Earlier in the day, Aquino said he planned to help candidates who shared his views and advocacy instead of himself running for office. Aquino also said he plans to help all those who have similar views, similar advocacies for a genuine opposition that would provide checks and balances to the government.

"Gusto natin magparami ng bilang. Siguro naman dapat tumulong tayo na meron tayong oposisyon na talagang constructive na magpo-provide ng tamang check and balance,” Noynoy said

Vice President Leni Robredo also said she is willing to lead all opposition coalition against Duterte.
