Isa sa mga ginamit niyang halimbawa ay ang pagkatalo ni US President Donald Trump kay former vice president Joe Biden.
"We call on Mr. Rodrigo Duterte to take a good look at the result of the US presidential election. Trump's defeat serves both as a warning and reminder to Duterte and his minions that all tyrants, regardless of their popularity and power, will fall.

Si Pangulong Duterte at si President Trump ay may magandang ugnayan. Kung ang ibang politiko sa Amerika ay binabatikos ang kampanya kontra-droga ng Duterte Administration, pinupuri naman ito ni President Trump.
"I just wanted to congratulate you because I am hearing of the unbelievable job on the drug problem. Many countries have the problem, but what a great job you are doing," sabi ni Trump noong 2017.
Si Pangulong Duterte ay nananatiling popular at pinagkakatiwalaan ng mga Pilipino, ayon sa mga pinakahuling surveys. Noong 2019 elections, ang mga kandidato ng oposisyon sa pagka-senador ay naligwak habang 9 sa mga inendorso ni Pangulong DUterte ay pumasok sa magic 12.
